China land Surveying and
Planning Institute (CLSPI) was
established in March 1987 and is a non-profitable and fundamentally
professional organization belonging to the Ministry of Land and
Resources (MLR) of People's Republic of China. The main responsibility
of CLSPI is to provide theoretical support and technical guarantee for
land administration and policy decision-making conducted by MLR, and
improve innovation and industrialization in land science and
technology.

convened its sixth general
assembly in Beijing on September 27. Mr Xu Shaoshi, Minister of Land
and Resources, sent a congratulatory message to the assembly. Prof. Zou
Yuchuan, chairman of the fifth Council of the Society delivered an
opening address. The general assembly examined and approved the work
report delivered by the fifth Council and the newly revised statutes,
elected new members, executive members, chairman, vice chairman and
secretary-general of the Society's Council and deployed the prime tasks
for the future. Vice Minister of Land and Resources Wang Shiyuan was
elected chairman of the new Council.
