1. Course objectives: Introduce basic concepts of the Land Management domain, as well as elements of Organisational Studies, Public Administration, and Institutional Economics with reference to international development projects and research within the domain.
 
In looser terms, the course aims at providing you with an overview of most of the wide field of Land Management. It thus only briefly introduces you to important subjects like Organisational studies, Public administration, and Institutional economics. Having completed the course, you should Preliminary knowledge: Understanding of property rights, cadastre and land registry in your home country, or similar.

4. Presentation directions 

Course participants are requested to organise themselves into groups of preferably 2-3 persons, who agree on a primary and a secondary case country. The group reports the group members and countries to the lecturer, and suggest a presentation day. Lecturer schedules presentation day and case country. Group prepares a 15-20 min presentation, addressing among others At the presentation, one paper copy of the presentation, provided with names of group members and date of presentation, ~4-6 slides pr page, is handed over to the lecturer. The presentation copy is included in the examination rating.
