Theoretical Basis for Cadastral
Development
In the context of The Masters Programme in Land
Management, provided by the Unit
for Real Estate Planning and Land Law,
The Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden, I lectured three
mornings the 1.-3. December 2009.
The purpose of the lectures was to make the students aware of
theory which relate to their task of “Building up a property register
in your countries”, a project within the Masters programme.
The main theoretical basis lectured was Institutional Economics
(Douglass C North; Oliver Williamson), supplemented with
organisational theories (incl. Max Weber), as well as spatial
reference frames.
