Oil filters (and diesel) | I have heard of one sending a photo of his filter to FIAAM for
identification. They have a very wide range of filters and is apparantly
a main supplier of oil filters. Check
http://www.sogefifiltration.com/ A 186 should apparently use a FIAAM FT 4701 at €23.4 in the Netherlands according to Jaap van der Meer (He has already installed it so I guess it fits) A 185 should use a FIAAM FA4194/2 according to information from FIAAM recieved by Mike Stone, but he hasn't tried it yet. (new information has it that this is in fact a fuel filter, so maybe there has been a gap in the information flow somewhere). Christer Wollert has found out that a W712/31 (made by Mann) fits. They're available from Mekonomen; a shop that is present in Denmark and Sweden. Actually, the 185 and the 186 are supposed to use the same - but check it out. Patrick wrote me about his AL 186: The filter is a Lombardini 270 2175-28 Henrik A Fogh, Lynager 1-11, Brøndby, Denmark tel +45 43 96 66 11 has around 30 of these at a price of DKK 171,71 + VAT per filter Shane McInnes wrote me that he uses Oil filter - motor pro K 7 Diesel filter - Lucas 296-711-296 on his 185 Jesse Hoogeveen has found out that the Lombardini 2175.028 oil filter fits his rebuilt 186 Diesel filter for the 185: MANN WK712/2 (Info from Hans-Jørn Pallesen) |
Oil | Patrick wrote me about his AL186 as the required oil taype was impossible to find: Castrol remommends an oil type called Vannelus C3 Mono 20W. It is only sold in 10 l barrels; you can get it at Roar Eriksen, Damsholtevej 11-13, 2970 Hørsholm, telefon 48 28 18 86. The most important thing is that the oil is a mineral oil |
